CASH NSBE Jr. Award Winning Chapter – C.A.S.H.ing In

From our humble beginnings in 2013, with only 13 charter members, CASH NSBE Jr. has grown to be an elite chapter that has exposed hundreds to STEM. Certainly the chapter’s hard work and dedication has been rewarded with numerous recognitions. On April 1, 2017, at the 43rd National Convention in Kansas City, MO, the Chapter was named the NSBE Jr. Chapter of the Year and the Region II NSBE Jr. Chapter of the Year.  Fulfilling our mission to expose underrepresented youth to STEM, the chapter operates under the following tenets

  • STEM Engagement
  • Engineering Diversity
  • Community Involvement
  • Cultural Engagement

Looking ahead and pressing forward, our programs and activities continued to shine. At the 44th National Convention in Pittsburgh, PA, the Chapter repeated as the NSBE Jr. Chapter of the Year. Additionally, chapter members Malcolm Brown and Kenadi Wilkerson received Golden Torch recognition as Pre-College Initiative Students of the Year. Our member, Dia Brown was the recipient of the Inaugural Founder Edward Barnette Jr. Community Impact $5000 Scholarship.
