Certainly the chapter’s hard work and dedication has been rewarded with numerous recognitions. On April 1, 2017, at the 43rd National Convention in Kansas City, MO, the Chapter was named the NSBE Jr. Chapter of the Year and the Region II NSBE Jr. Chapter of the Year. Fulfilling our mission to expose underrepresented youth to STEM, the chapter operates under the following tenets
Looking ahead and pressing forward, our programs and activities continued to shine. At the 50th National Convention in Atlanta, GA (#NSBE50) Chapter member Gavin Goldring received Golden Torch recognition as Pre-College Initiative Student of the Year. At the 44th National Convention in Pittsburgh, PA, the Chapter repeated as the NSBE Jr. Chapter of the Year. Additionally, chapter members Malcolm Brown and Kenadi Wilkerson received Golden Torch recognition as Pre-College Initiative Students of the Year.
